I had a Dream

Went into a dream
To spend some time away
From a nosy world
And all it had to say
Met a raging toothache
Been ill upon the pill
Blessed half a dozen coconuts
And rolled them down a hill
He pushed me in a cavity
Danced in the mood of June
Knotted golden buttercups
And sliced off bits of moon
Up jumped a Catterwalk
Took me by surprise
Licked his cherry lips
And wanted me inside
River rose like treacle
Spoke of dreaming dead
We can make your fortune
Just let us have your head
The window of promises
Peered before the glass
I rocked in my dark cavern
An image of the past
My thoughts upon the ocean
A tidal wave of scenes
Nature calling everywhere
Appeared upon the screen
Homeward was my coming
Drawn towards the land
Empty of my dreams
Of nothing that I planned
