Paintings

This collection consists of four series of artwork. The intention of each picture is to stimulate the viewer’s interest, engaging them to think and form their own interpretation. Underlying themes reach across every canvas, but the purpose is for the observer to draw their own conclusions. The fact that the perspectives of different individuals may vary is a part of the process. There is no right or wrong; each perception is valid and adds to the whole.

Series 1 deals with shapes and words; the collages interact with the viewer, who is confronted by shape, colour, and then words. Individuals will determine their own narrative linking the component parts together to form a whole.

Series 2. Iimages have been added. The pictures are now issue-based but it is the same process for the viewer. Again the pictures are open to wide interpretation.

 

Series 3. A wide range of land and seascapes are the central theme.

 

Series 4. The theme is the destruction of our planet by different processes.
